Your Baby Isn't Sleeping? How Psycho-Bio-Acupressure (PBA) Can Really Help!

Psycho-Bio-Acupressure.

Since his birth, Kevin hasn’t been sleeping… and now he’s eight months old. The entire family is exhausted, and the parents’ relationship is on the brink of collapse. They have to take turns holding Kevin throughout the night. He falls asleep easily on his parents’ shoulders, but the moment he’s placed in his crib, the screaming starts again. Nothing seems to help. They tried letting him cry it out, hoping he would eventually fall asleep from exhaustion, encouraged by well-meaning people, including their pediatrician, who insisted it was just a phase. But the crying only worsened; the poor little boy turns red, becomes frantic and sweaty, and is on the verge of convulsions, yet still can’t find sleep.

Homeopathy had no effect. Only some pharmaceutical drugs provided temporary relief, but despite their exhaustion, the parents prefer not to go down that path.

When I met Kevin, my first question was about the pregnancy and birth. Kevin’s mother had lost her first child at six and a half months of pregnancy. She lived in constant fear throughout her pregnancy with Kevin, terrified of experiencing the same nightmare again. Her anxiety was so overwhelming that she had to stop working early, with her gynecologist wisely declaring it a high-risk pregnancy.

The birth was a disaster. Eight days past the due date, Kevin still hadn’t shown any signs of coming; worse, there were signs of placental aging, so labor had to be induced. The labor was long and exhausting. The epidural was only partially effective, and forceps had to be used. As his mother put it, “It’s like he didn’t want to come out.”

In cases like this, which I see about once a week... This baby is terrified. In the womb, he absorbed all of his mother’s anxiety. He sensed her fear of losing him as the labor dragged on, and finally, he endured the trauma of forceps delivery. Under these circumstances, it’s no wonder he can’t sleep.

It’s important to remember that one of our distant ancestors’ greatest fears was being attacked while asleep. This fear remains imprinted in the most primitive part of our brain, the “reptilian brain,” which retains the collective memory of humanity. Thus, the first instinct in a state of anxiety is to stay awake. In our unconscious, sleep is perceived as a potential danger because it involves losing control of our environment.

Don’t we often say we “fall” asleep, just as we “fall” in love, “fall” ill, or “fall” pregnant? Popular language has captured these fears of falling because in these situations, we subconsciously know that we are losing control of our bodies, our hearts, or our environment.

Kevin is clearly in a state of panic, so he cannot sleep...

I applied the PBA circuits that regulate panic and, as a precaution, the circuit for managing colic, because in children, fear often manifests as stomach pain.

That very evening, he slept peacefully. The next day, his parents called my office, asking if I was a magician. Of course, I’m not a magician. The solution was straightforward—once we understood the root of Kevin’s distress and applied the appropriate PBA protocol, the results were immediate and profound.

Psycho-Bio-Acupressure, when applied with care, can be an effective tool in resolving not just the immediate challenges but also in preventing them from escalating. Kevin’s story highlights how addressing emotional blockages can lead to a significant improvement in well-being, restoring peace and balance not just for the child but for the entire family.

In Kevin’s case, a few simple PBA circuits were all it took to break the cycle of panic and sleeplessness, allowing him to finally rest peacefully. This experience underscores the importance of understanding the deep connection between our emotional and physical states and how PBA can offer a gentle yet powerful way to restore harmony.

While PBA is often used to address specific issues, its true value lies in its ability to support ongoing emotional well-being. By addressing the root causes of distress early, we can prevent them from manifesting into more significant physical or psychological problems, offering a path to a healthier and more balanced life.
